    Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way

    Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way

This method embraces the idea that childbirth is a natural process and that, with the right preparation, most women can avoid pain medication and routine interventions during labor and birth. It's named after American obstetrician Robert Bradley, who developed the method in the late 1940s.

With the Bradley method mothers are encouraged to trust their body and focus on diet and exercise throughout pregnancy, it teaches couples to manage labor through deep breathing and the support of a partner or labor coach.

The new updated edition brings this classic book on Natural childbirth up to date for birthing in modern times. It comes with lots of scientific information and does an amazing job of covering the physiological process of birth with illustrations along with practical tips and exercises.

After reading this book, you will have a good idea of what you are going to feel when contractions begin. The book gives great visualizations and descriptive scenarios of how you will feel and what you will need from your partner. Another major benefit of this book is that it contains a lot of information for your partner so they will have the confidence to coach and support the mother through birth.

Overall, this is a wonderful book, even if certain chapters are a bit outdated but it lays out exactly what to expect.
