Being a parent while educating yourself in University can be a challenge. Parents who study often find both time and money are an issue. That's why ParentsNeed has created a yearly scholarship designed for students who show themselves to find balance between the two and can benefit from support. Our mission has been to help parents on their journey of parenthood with a motto of shifting the focus back to them. This includes editorials on advice, reviews on necessities like best jogging strollers, baby registries, best umbrella stroller etc and even lighted vanity mirror.
Participants of the scholarship program have the possibility to win a fund of $1000. For students who have the desire to apply, a 1000 word submission should be produced in which they describe how right balance between family and study can influence ethical and moral traits in future generations
One participant will win the scholarship and receive a fund of $1000 towards their higher education.
How to qualify for the participation?
Entry entitles you to the possibility of winning a scholarship of $1000. The article you produce should be no less than 1000 words and not any longer than 2000 words. In the article, try to include some of these:
- Describe the challenges of studying and parenting
- Talk about things you have done to find a balance and the positive results of your actions
- Discuss how organisation can play a key role in achieving this balance
Who is Eligible?
To apply a student must be enrolled at either a high school, university, trade school or college.
How do we judge submissions?
We consider a number of elements, these include: level of creativity, how clear the message is, and primarily the creativity of the manner in which equilibrium between family and study has been achieved
How to submit an Application?
Articles should not exceed 2000 words. Once the article is ready it could be sent to us directly or uploaded to your own website or blog with an appropriate title. In the description area you must also paste a link to this page. Once your article is successfully uploaded and meets all of the requirements, you should email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and give us the link to your article or attach the submission in pdf format only. In your email please also include the following details:
- Your contact details: full name, telephone contact number and email address.
- The school you go to (even if you have not yet started, so long as you have been accepted).
- Evidence that shows you are a student of the above school
- Your subject choice.
You should be aware that entry to the competition gives us the right to make use of your article for our own marketing and promotion should we find it suitable.
Our scholarship program is held every year, each year the deadline is the 31st December. In January the winner will be selected and in February they will be notified.
